Tin-based Reducing agents are commonly used in manufacturing processes to promote chemical reactions that lead to the reduction of a substance, donating electrons to another chemical. Through reduction agents, these reactions deposit metal coatings onto substrates, enhancing the adhesion, corrosion resistance, and durability of the substrate. There are several reducing agents used in manufacturing, stannous pyrophosphate and stannous chloride solutions being the most common. These reducing chemicals and their reactions are harnessed in a variety of applications, from the production of metals and plastics to pharmaceutical production.
